Monica Callahan BS, KPA-CTP #78329
Monica has always been drawn to animals, dogs in particular. Her original dream since she could talk was to be a veterinarian. She began her animal experience with shadowing a local veterinarian. Monica graduated from The University of Findlay with a double major in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout her four years of undergraduate schooling, she learned a lot about medicine, and a lot about behavior. With the knowledge she had acquired, she decided behavior was the true route she wanted to take in life.
During her senior year, she did a semester long internship at the Hancock County Humane Society, working with the many dogs that came through, and introducing the dogs to clicker training. In the summer of 2011, after graduating college, she went on to attend the Karen Pryor Academy. In January of 2012, she graduated with distinction, and in March she opened Anything's Possible LLC. Monica’s certification number is 78329. Monica's resume is available by request. |
Monica is a registered Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and an Alliance of Therapy Dogs Tester/Observer. In 2017, Monica joined the Board of Directors for Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Monica surrounds herself with research in behavior, psychology, nutrition, and training. She is always adding new techniques to her training tool box. She has attended seminars by Ali Brown, Patricia McConnell PhD, Ken Ramirez, Michael Shikashio, Trish Loehr, Debbie Jacobs, Theresa McKeon, Sue Sternberg, and Clicker Expo, featuring many established trainers and behaviorists including Kathy Sdao, Michele Pouliot, Kay Lawrence, Emily Larlham, and many others. |
Monica currently shares her home with four fantastic dogs. Her oldest dog is Doc. Doc has participated in AKC Conformation, gaining his Championship title, and therapy work through Alliance of Therapy Dogs. He is currently retired and enjoying the home life being pestered by two annoying sisters.
